The Planned Day
Written before the day was lived. Held lightly. Will be replaced as it happens.
The shape of the day
The longest psychological shift of the trip. Cross from northern Dalmatia into the deep south, onto the Pelješac peninsula. The light changes, the air changes, the food changes.
What to do
- 01Coastal drive past Split — but don't stop, the city is for another trip.
- 02Lunch in Ston — oysters straight from the bay, salt-flat backdrop.
- 03Arrive Orebić in the evening. Korčula glowing across the channel.
A loose rhythm
- Early startOn the road by 08:00 — long day ahead.
- MiddaySton for oysters and a stretch.
- Late afternoonCheck in at Adriatic Beach Glamping (15:00–21:00). Drop bags, straight into the private pool.
- EveningQuiet dinner on the terrace. Watch the lights of Korčula across the channel.
Why this day
Geography teaches the body what the calendar can't: the south is a different country, even inside the same one.
How it will feel
Heavier in a soft way. The day weighs more here.
Awaiting the day
Photos, essay, food, music — to be added when this day is lived.
